I’m not entirely sure if I should post this or not, but if you’ve found this blog, welcome, fellow Disneyphile.
I guess you could say that I’ve always had a love of Disney, but that love became even more prominent when I was 12 years old (I’m currently 28 now). In the spring of 1996, a girl and her mom went to Walt Disney World for Easter. On Easter Sunday of that year, the two went to the Contemporary Resort for church, but they didn’t have a leader for singing. The 12 year old girl looked at her mom, and her mom nodded, letting her daughter get up in front of at least a hundred (if not more) people to sing. That 12 year old girl was me, and that would be one moment in time that I will never forget.
I’ve been a Disney Vacation Club member since 1998 under my mom, and I call Boardwalk Villas, Wilderness Lodge, and Bay Lake Towers home. I’ve stayed at nearly every one of WDW’s resorts (I haven’t stayed at all of the “regular” resorts that are separate from the DVC [Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club, Boardwalk, Wilderness Lodge, and Contemporary], Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Yacht Club, Fort Wilderness, All Star Sports, and the new Art of Animation). I was a CP for six months in 2005, working at both Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside, cross-training into Pop Century, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
My favorite Disney movies are Lady and the Tramp, The Lion King, Toy Story 1-3, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, Cars, Lilo and Stitch, Up, Mulan, and Pocahontas.
I guess that’s about it. I’ll update as I see fit, which hopefully will be soon again!
